A 23 year senior lawyer with extensive experience in both private practice and in-house legal environments. With a career foundation built at the London offices of leading US law firms including LLGM and Hogan Lovells (formerly Hogan & Hartson), Sharon was able to hone her expertise in different sectors and practice areas including business law, M&A, intellectual property, employment law, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, regulatory compliance and pharmaceuticals.
Transitioning to in-house roles, Sharon further developed strategic, business-focused legal acumen, culminating in serving as head of legal/senior in-house lawyer in private corporations within the telecom and fashion and food retail businesses allowing her to expand her areas of expertise to encompass GDPR, regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and most importantly ESG..
In addition to the above, Sharon has been involved in third sector activities including charities and CICs. She has been a trustee of various organisations and founded and ran a CIC for 2 years in parallel with her legal role. She was the CEO of Justice of Fashion and oversaw research projects, funding and corporate governance. She is also an author of articles and papers regarding the MSA 2015 (including co-author of the book Modern Slavery in the UK) and the impact on businesses and institutional investors. Sharon has recently been shortlisted for the 2024 Law Society’s Legal Heroes for her third sector work.
